(GUADELUPE BASS)
The state fish was adopted on May
22,1989 named the (Guadelupe Bass). It's nickname is Black Bass,
or Spotted Bass, and some people think that the Guadelupe looks like the
Small Mouth Bass. At first they were going to choose the Large Mouth
Bass as the state fish, but they needed a more uncommon fish so they choosed
the Guadelupe Bass.
