| Byrin R.- The most interesting thing about this project
was going on the net and finding the background. I also liked making all
of the web pages. At first I didn't even know how to copy, cut, and paste!!!!
Now I know how to make a web page, a power point, and copy, cut, and paste!!!!!
I went from not knowing how to do anything to knowing how to do 1000x as
much as before!!! I bet my dad doesn't even know how to make all of this
stuff. I really had fun making everything and it was great. |
| Zachary T. - The most interesting thing that we did in
computers this year, I think is the Mansfield Building History Project.
It is fun because we have to research to find information about our building.
The best thing is that it's a class web page not just 4-5 people. This
year even though it's not over has been fun with the projects and all the
other things that we did! Thanks to our special teacher Mrs. Ingram I learned
a lot of new things about computers! |
| Justin-My favorite part of this assignment we had this
year, was making a web page. I liked using links and scanning photos and
stuff. Whenever I came to fourth grade the only thing I knew how to do
was make a power point. Now that it is almost the end of the year, I know
a lot more about computers. So far all of this year we've been making projects
and experiments on the computer. I thought I would never be able to learn
everything, but I did. When I leave I will be better prepared for projects
at Mary Orr. |
| Cody-This year the thing I won't forget is the Indian
thing. The reason why I picked that was because we got to combine two things,Power
Point & Netscape Composer. It was the best thing I did. |
| Alisa B-I think the projects were fun and educational
because when you teach us something about technology we keep it in our
heads. This is what I ask my brother every day for some reason. "Do we
have Netscape Composer?" Do we have a save as that has H Drive and all
of the other steps?" He'd say "what" and "no." Anyway, I've always had
to have my dad or brother help on our computer. Now I'm the second computer
master in my family. Now I know how to make Power Point's, insert backgrounds,
pictures, and a million other things. I really want to thank any of the
people that helped and taught me how to do these cool projects. I want
to make more and more symbols, power points, web pages, and stuff like
that. Computers is one of my favorite things to do on a school day. Also
my favorite project out all of them was the Indian power points. |
| Brandon - What I like about all the projects we have
done is when I find all the facts I have gathered, I write it down on a
piece of paper . Then sometimes we might even type it on the computer at
the computer lab then save it on our disks . We all spend a lot of time
in the computer lab getting a lot of work done. |
| Christian- My favorite thing we did was the symbols web
page. I used lots of graphics. I also found some cool web sites. My favorite
part was finding graphics. I made a real cool page. |
| D.J.- I had a fun time learning and researching all about
Texas and its history in this project. But it wasn't easy, we did a lot
of work to create this site, we had to do lots of saving recreating and
tons of typing, but in the end, I learned a lot about computers that I
didn't even know! The best part about this project in my opinion was how
we got to create all kinds of web pages and then link them up to a home
page. I learned a lot in this project and I hope I get to do this again
sometime. |
| Jamie- The part I like the best was the Power Point.
I liked it because I had never used it, and once I got to know more about
it I was more interested. Today I know a lot more about Power Point's than
I did when I started. I know how to insert pictures change the timing etc.
When we did our Indian Symbols on the Power Point I didn't know a lot it,
but now I know a lot more because of my classmate Cody. Now I help people
who need help and I know a lot of their answers. I think I know a lot more
than I did |
| Katie B. - My class had to make a web page about a few
different things. I remember when I walked into Mrs. Ingram's class I didn't
know a thing about technology or computers, but now I know how to save
a picture and backgrounds and even make a Power Point. But, it is hard
to pick one thing, everything was always so interesting to me. If I had
to choose one thing it would be making my symbols page even though this
is what took me the longest to do. This was my favorite because I learned
the most. One thing I will always hate doing is researching. I didn't like
it because I didn't know what web site to even go to or anything. If I
weren't to come to Mrs. Ingram's class there would be no way I would understand
a word my next years computer teacher was trying to explain to me. There
are 2 people who I want to thank most, they are my teacher Mrs.Ingram and
my computer teacher Mrs. William's. I learned a lot this year and I hope
that all of this stuff stays in my head for a long time. Now computers
are my favorite place to go and I wish that I will have as good as a teacher
and computer teacher as I did this year. |
| Kristyn- When I first came to Willie Brown Elementary,
I didn't know how to make Power Points, how to ask for permission for web
sites and pictures, or how to make a web site. That has all changed now.
I know how to do all of that plus more. I know how to make backgrounds
and pictures appear without Copy, Cut, and Paste. I love the computer lab.
Every time we go it makes me so happy! |
| Miranda- I liked the Texas Symbols because it was fun
to make a web page and to do the research. By doing that, we got to learn
more on how to use a computer. Plus now we know how to make a web site!
Now everyone can see the talent we have for making a web site. |
| Sarah G. - My favorite project is when we
made the Indian page. It took a while, but it was worth it. First we had
to make our power point which was fun. Then we had to make our home page,
type, make a table, link our power point to the web site, then find a background.
Finally it was a masterpiece. |
| Hannah- "This school year, the thing I learned the most
was how to make a web page, but that wasn't most interesting to me. What
I thought was most interesting was doing the Indian project. I liked it
because I got to learn about different people and religions. One fact I
learned from the Caddo indians was that they rode on horses and canoes.
They were really interesting." |
| Kenneth- This school semester I
did a lot of experiments and assignments in the computer lab. My
favorite was the Comanche page. It was my favorite because we got
to go search for backgrounds and word searches. My favorite was when
we searched for a background. |
| Maggie-The project that I liked the most was doing my
Alamo page. I think I liked it the most because I learned a lot.
Like I learned that I had a family member that was in the war, and the
also carried a letter in the war. I also liked doing the Indian project.
I liked it a lot because we got to work in a group. I also liked it because
doing the Power Point was too cool. |

Daniel- My favorite project on the computer was my
dinosaur texas symbol. I like that project because you have to put a picture
on it and a paragraph about it too. The next thing you do is to look for
a background. Then when your done you go to file save as then my computer,h
drive, teams, 4th grade, Ingram,web folder, daniel, next dinosaur.html.
After you do that you exit.

| Alex- this year in the computer lab I leaned to make
links to other places. The coolest thing I leaned is to make a power point.
The best thing to do if you don't know how to do it, is to play with it.
I also have learned to get a background onto a page. Sometimes I wish we
could be on the computer all the time. I learned how to scan a picture
into the computer too. |
| Jessica-I think this years gone by really fast. I thought
that doing all that work on the computer and the projects was really fun.
Well, my favorite computer project out of the Indian page, the Stephen
F. Austin page the Mansfield page, the Texas State Symbol page, and the
MEDC page was the Texas State Symbol. I loved doing it. I really like it
since I got to research on the internet a lot about the Mocking Bird. Also
I learned lots more about computers doing it. Did I tell you that I found
lots of interesting pictures of the Mocking Bird. I just think that making
a "Web Pages" are so much fun. I hope that I will continue to know this
throughout my life. |
| Addison C- My favorite thing is all of the power points.
I especially liked all of the web pages. I liked asking permission to use
their pictures. I mostly like everything. |
| Hunter- The thing I liked the best during this project,
was when we had to look on the computer about our Indian projects.
What I liked about it was when we had to make our Power Points. |
