Mr. Dollar
Mr. Dollar (Cody's Great grandfather who has lived in Mansfield since 1920) came to our class so that we could interview him. We were surprised that back then there were no major tests like the TAAS or TAKS. Back then in the 1930's there were no gyms so they had to play on dirt. The schools only had 200 to 300 kids at school, only 11 grades and no Kindergarten.
For your job payment you would get $1.50 ,and they
would work twice as
much .If you bought a car it
would only cost $1,010.00( back then that was a lot.) Back then there was no
electricity at all.
