A Visit from Mr. Dollar
When Mr. Dollar, a man who's been
in Mansfield since the 1920's came to our class, and told us lots
of interesting facts. We all learned that children under 12 got to see
the movies for only 5 cents. He told us that they had to use lanterns since
there was no electricity. They didn't have any computers back then too.
The sports they played were softball, tennis, baseball, basketball, and
volley ball. Most of the kids walked to school and back home. They also
didn't have to wear uniforms . There was very few cars and telephones .There
was about 200 to 300 kids in a school. We also think it will be better
to live in our time because we have more products than before.
