Mr. Dollar was a person who lived in Mansfield since the 1920's. The interesting things that we heard were that the movie tickets only cost 5-10 cents. The movies were silent. Another thing is that they didn't have to take the TAKS or TAAS tests. The most interesting thing is that they worked for $1.50 for 40 hours a week. Back then the cars only cost $1,000. The had paddle boats, horses, and cars for transportation. They had no air conditionings for the summer. They only had fans which is the closets to air conditioning. Plus the candy was only 5 cents. Those are the interesting facts that we learned from Mr. Dollar.
