When Mr. Dollar (who has lived here since he was born in 1920) came to visit our classroom, we learned a whole lot of stuff. Sarah said that there was no electricity {gasp}, and very few cars. Alas, there were some good things, too. Like everything was a lot cheaper, and everyone knew each others name. Even though back then was interesting, I like this time area better because I wouldn't survive without electricity or A.C. Its just not right.
Cody said that when people went to the movies, it was silent. The movies had big air fans that would make cold air when people were hot. The movies weren't very big.
Hannah said the music back then wasn`t near as good now. There were mainly only pianos, and guitars. I like life way better now then I probably would back then. There were also no T.V. 's or computers! Also, there was no air conditioning! If I didn't have this stuff back then I would be burning up hot. I'm really glad we have this stuff now, or I don't know how I would survive.
We learned a lot of stuff from Mr. Dollar. (Also shocking.)
