I learned many things when Mr. Bairrington from MEDC came
to visit our class. MEDC deals with buildings, gas stations, etc.. Mansfield
is growing and is at 55.0 square miles. Mansfield was complemented and
known for the best sports areas in Texas. Also, say you want to build a
road on somebody's property you can't just say Hey I'm going to build our
road through here, you have to ask them. Mansfield is the third largest
growing city in Tarrant County. The MISD school district has been growing
from 600-700 kids a year. If the MEDC wants to build a Target, Pier 1,
Wendy’s, IHOP, Lowes, and Home Depot they have to talk with the architects
first. That's all I learned about MEDC.
