Information About Mansfield’s Growth (and MEDC).

I gathered information on the growth of Mansfield when  Mr. Bairrington came to visit our classroom.  What I learned was that 20 years ago Mansfield, Texas had a population of about 4,000 people.  It has gone up to about 37-38,000  and is expected to grow to about 70,000. About 19,000 are school children. Most of the population comes because we have the one of the best school districts in Texas. Mansfield is the fastest growing city in Tarrant County. The reason so many businesses come to Mansfield is due to the incentives that help pay for the roads, sewers and other things that are needed for a new building. The key to good development is the mix of having residential, retail, and industrial growth in a community. Buffer Zones keep factories away from residential areas. Currently, there is a good mix in Mansfield.  Another part of good population is it is located between Ft. Worth and Dallas. There has been a lot of massive growth in Mansfield and I thought that Mr. Bairrington taught me a lot about how it is changing dramatically.
