Texas State Large Mammal
The longhorns are the Texas
state large mammal. It was adopted for a Texas symbol in 1873.
The Spanish bought the
first longhorn cattles to Texas in 1493.Some longhorns are in rodeos
while others just get to
roam around free in the grasslands. Some people kill them, just
to get their fur!
