The Bluebonnet is native to Texas and is also the flower of Texas.Bluebonnets usually bloom from March until May. Bluebonnets cannot grow in clay based soil. Bluebonnets need to grow in full sun and in well drained soil. There are five types of bluebonnets you can grow.  The Bluebonnet was adopted as the State Flower of Texas in 1901.
