In Memory of Lois
My Honorary Matron of Honor

Lois

Lois was one of my best friends, prayer warrior, and role model. Watching her battle a terminal illness while being unwavering in her faith was such an inspiration to me. I remember a few times when Lois questioned why she was alive. She didnt feel that she was being used by the Lord since she was cooped up in her house all day, unable to physically minister to those around her. But I could never convey to her the difference that her prayers had made in my life.

I truly believe that God heard her prayers as she asked the Lord to give me a David like He had given her. I realized this had come to fruition the other night. Joshua and I were in the car talking about the fact that it is so important to always keep God as the first love in our lives because someday one of us will pass away. Josh told me that he hopes as we get older he will be able to care for me rather than me caring for him. As I heard these words come out of his mouth I was so touched. I knew that the Lord had given me my David.

In July, Lois passed on to be with Jesus. I am so excited for her, but it was a BIG loss in my life. I loved to go over to her house and just talk for hours. Before Lois passed away I had asked her to be the Matron of Honor in my wedding. She was very honored and inspired to learn to walk before our wedding. Now she can run!
