| Mike Hawks is recognized for his talent of writing good songs. Mike has teamed up with writer Lawton Jiles, a seasoned songwriter. Patsy Cline recorded several of Mr. Jiles songs a long time ago. Together Hawks and Jiles hope to score a hit in todays market. | |||||||||||||||||
| Mike Hawks grew up in Orange County and played drums in several rock bands as a teenager. His claim to fame story about those days is the story of the time that David Lee Roth, of the Band Van Halen, drank a beer to many during a gig at the Golden West Ballroom in Orange County. During a break between song sets David, Mike, a few ladies were sitting in Mikes Dodge van when David got very pale and ended up getting sick inside Mike's Dodge Van. Since then Mike grew up, got married, had two kids, taught himself guitar and piano, built a home recording studio and began writing songs. | |||||||||||||||||
| Mikes song "Itll Come Back To You" was recorded by Jay Sutter and played on stage by Jay when he opened for Merrill Haggard. Currently Mike and Lawton are recording ";Rock Island Railroad", my favorite Hawks/Jiles song to date. Jiles-Beam Publishing is pitching Mikes songs around Nashville. Mikes songs are capable of being cross over hits due to their rock/pop/country influence. | |||||||||||||||||
