The Union

When the darkness of the Earth had again spread itself thickly, God shed her silent tears. As her tears fell, they encountered the sun and exploded like dust. The sun spoke with God about her sadness and together they found a new hope. So God caught the dust in a whispering net, closed her eyes saying prayers, and formed with the dust and the rock and the wheat of the earth two bodies. The bodies grew apart from one another, one like the sand of the desert and one like the rushing water of the river. And just like the water of the ocean slips onto sandy shores, the time came for them to meet. So God bent the movement of air and settled near, bringing them together. Now the sun cried and the earth cracked underneath her as love was born, and the hope from before was cradled within it. The two bodies becaame one, and their union beared a light both powerful and humble. As it formed and grew each day, the union of the two bodies represented infinite love, born of God, carrying itself within the darkness.
