I Will Be Here |
If in the morning when you wake, If the sun does not appear, I will be here. If in the dark we lose sight of love, Hold my hand and have no fear, I will be here. I will be here, When you feel like being quiet, When you need to speak your mind I will listen. Through the winning, losing and trying we'll be together, And I will be here. If in the morning when you wake, If the future is unclear, I wil be here. As sure as seasons were made for change, Our lifetimes were made for years, I will be here. I will be here, And you can cry on my shoulder, When the mirror tells us we're older, I will hold you, to watch you grow in beauty, And tell you all the things you are to me, We'll be together and I will be here. I will be true to my promises I've made, To you and to the one who gave you to me, I will be here. Steven Curtis Chapman |
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening |
Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near, Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, deep and dark But I have promises to keep And miles to go, before I sleep, And miles to go, before I sleep Robert Frost |
