Most maps are zipped so you'll need winzip click shareware search winzip

First find your map file C:\Sierra\Half-Life\valve\maps

Open that folder and reduce the window so you can see desktop.

Not the - sign reduce the size 4x4 inches

Open the zip  look for map.bsp  anything ending in .bsp is the map.

Highlite map.bsp useing the mouse button now use same mouse button and

this time click/hold down.(keep holding down)

Use the mouseball (aim) Move bsp to map folder(drag and drop) and now 

you can play the map named that.

If you see other files like .wav .mdl .tga  those will load when you join

server.
