"Edge Of The Forest"

Acrylic

9" x 12"

Maroons, pinks, white, browns, yellow, mixtures

This piece has become a personal favorite. It took shape on a windy morning among impromptu outdoor children art classes. The tough little board called out demanding to be covered in liquid color.

All of the blue paint was gone, the kids saw to that. A smattering of green was left with only dabs of this color and that. There where squirts of paint I had to use or throw away as it was almost time to pack up! The children had run amuck with the paint tubes and the results made for an interesting pallet.

It was time to let the paint paint itself--I would finish up later.

As the colors blended, a dream-like stage emerged. While sitting at my easel, I began to tell the children a story. .

Looking into the piece, I see new tales to be told.
