Refrigerator All-Bran Muffins

cups white sugar, less 2 tbsp

cup vegetable shortening, less 2 tbsp

tsp. soda

tsp. salt

cups Kellog’s All-Bran

cups Nabisco 100% All-Bran

cups boiling water
4
eggs
5
cups flour

qt. Buttermilk
Pour
boiling water over the 2 cups of 100% All-Bran; cream shortening and sugar; add beaten eggs and milk; add
All-Bran cereal and dry ingredients; last fold in soaked All-Bran; bake in
greased muffin tins ½ full @ 400º for 15 to 18 minutes; keeps well for 6 to 8
weeks; makes ¾ ice cream pail-full
