mid Summer 2007 Summer is in full swing with busy me and busy kids! We've hit a mile stone with Patrick, he turned 16 the other day! Where oh where did the years go? He continues to look for a job, still going with the same girl (1 yr now) and is a big help around the house.. I am blessed to have such a helpful kid! Sam is again playing tennis this summer. His serves are looking very good and he has such fun out on the courts. He does not have his mother's competitive edge though, he laughs at his mistakes and will say 'its only a game' if he loses. Meri enjoyed a week at MPS soccer camp. She learned some new moves and is looking forward to the fall season and travel in the U14 league this year. Both boys marched in the 4th parade this year again. Patrick wore his giant puppet while Sam wore a large red devil head. They looked great and had a blast. I've been tutoring reading this summer during the morning hours and enjoying playing tennis. The elbow surgery has healed nicely and I am enjoying painfree playing. I've also been out kayaking a bit on the town river and really enjoying the solitude and time to sit with God and just 'be'. Its amazing how quiet your sould can be out in the middle of nowhere! Oh and my new project? ME! I began The Fat Flush Plan on May 28th and so far, I've dropped 2 sizes and 27 lbs! I love my morning walk and have joined a yoga group.. I never realized how inflexible I've become! And speaking of walking.... Be ready, its almost time for walk team recruitment! Our total in April? $10,400.00! I am sure Tom is smiling at us from heaven! This year I'd love to raise the same amount when we walk with the American Heart Association again. It was such a great experience and feel good endeavor. |
