| Dear friends and family, Oh yes -- it's time for another of the world-famous Hunter family newsletters. What is new? Laura and the other members of the Iowa City Stake Relief Society just sponsored a Preparation Symposium, focusing on temporal, emotional, and spiritual preparedness. There were 15 workshops, lunch, a service project, and a dry-pack canning demonstration. Laura was quite pleased with the results. She will miss the calling -- why? Well, Eric and Laura have recently been called as Ward Mission Leader and Stake Missionary (respectively). We are feeling excited and nervous for this new opportunity, especially given all the excitement with the upcoming Nauvoo temple dedication. Speaking of Nauvoo -- just a reminder for all of you. We are quite close to Nauvoo, so if any of you are planning to come for the Open House, please let us know. We will be involved with the Open House activities -- we hope to see many of you here. We had a wonderful Christmas holiday. Rob and the Lainhart family came out to visit for Eric's graduation. Yes, Eric is officially a PhD now! Laura cried throughout the whole ceremony! We were thrilled the Lainharts could stay with us through Christmas and had a fun Christmas Eve open house. We just returned from Chicago where we met up with some friends from Utah, Jill and Paul Fulton -- and their munchkin-on-the-way! It was so good to spend some time with them. Well, I think that's all -- sure love you all! |
