"And oftentimes, to win us to our harm,
The instruments of darkness tell us truths,
Win us with honest trifles, to betray's
In deepest consequence."
William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616), "Macbeth", Act 1 scene 3

Harle's intentions throughout the games suggest a strong sense of darkness, however she seems to play on the minds of all those she comes into contact with. For one, she manipulates people to go along with her plans, and yet she never seems to befriend anybody but Serge. At first, she gives an impression as an archetypical bad guy with a good heart, but as soon as she joins the group her presence is hands down confusing. Nobody, including Serge, knows her true intentions at this point. She gives the impression of a bad guy at first, but then lightens up when Serge takes the place of Lynx.

Harle is a creature of darkness, but because she wields the power of the 7th Element, Chrono Cross, her identity is increadibly ironic. She has the power of the element which could save mankind and yet she was created to help destroy mankind. Her very existence in the material world is a contradiction.

Harle, even though she can be kind, has a very vindictive character. She doesn't think twice about her actions, even when burning down Radius' house and trying to kill him. Harle also manipulates Lynx and convinces him to burn down Lucca's orphanage without thinking twice about her actions. Her mission is her mission and she will stick to it and dispose of those who get her way. The one thing Harle hates the most is when somebody disrupts her conversations with Serge, especially if it's Kid. Harle threatens the 3rd party and tells them "I'll kick your arse so hard you kiss ze moon!" (which is a complete playoff on what Kid says).

Those who come into contact with Harle aren't known to like her at first impression. Her ethereal aura of darkness and mysticism gives anybody the chills with first contact, as it should. Harle possesses increadible power (physical and magical) even more than Serge at any point in the game. She has very useful elemental and physical attacks that are increadibly powerful and destructive. She fights with jingle bells and uses elemental attacks that have the moon as a theme (ie, moonshine, lunaraetic, moonbeams). Who ever said creatures of the night are supposed to be nice?
