LOU'S VIEW

This site is dedicated to the great athletes of Professional Wrestling.

II would like to say that though Wrestling is not considered a sport by many, it is created by many great athletes. These men work hard to prepare themselves for their weekly shows. Many people don't consider this. They have to workout very hard to hold up to their schedules. Most don't consider that these men and women are in a different town every night to do their Live Shows, House Shows and PPV Events. They have to leave their homes and families behind and go for days or weeks at a time apart from them.   Yes, they do get paid good for this, but never the less it has to be hard on a person too. Many of these athletes that we watch weekly have suffered plenty for our entertainment. I would just like to say to the people out there who do not think of these people as athletes to think again. Many of them played college or Professional Sports before joining the squared circle. I personally think they are not given enough credit for their efforts.   Professional Wrestling has been one of  the highest rated cable show of all time and the numbers have  just gotten bigger. I have watched wrestling for a while and I have seen a time when there was less than 1,000 people at a house or live show. Now in almost all cities they stop in it's a sell out! Not to mention the merchandise sales. I think one thing that makes it so big is the fact that the athletes will interact with the fans, (I was at a house show a while back, walking down the corridor of the arena, and walked right into The Rock).   This is what makes the fans go crazy for these athletes. They aren't afraid to meet the public. I'd just like to thank all the athletes who participate every week for my enjoyment. Though it has been said that it is a Soap Opera for men, I'd like to say these athletes go way beyond the physicial aspects, they are actors too. (I wonder if the Training Facility  has an acting instructor too?).   It takes more than physicial strength to make millions of people world wide to tune in every week to see what's happening next. It takes alot of creativity and imagination to play their parts. The gimmicks and angles are more elaborate than ever and we can only expect them to become more explosive in the future. These athletes are ATHLETES and beyond!!!   But then again, this is just my point of view. Tell me what you think. I'd like to know. Email me. I will post your opinions on this page unless otherwise stated by you. Also, if you have a link you'd like to be displayed on this page, email me.
