WELL HERE IS THE STORY THAT I WAS TELLING YOU ALL ABOUT ON MY FIRST PAGE...THIS ARTICLE WAS PUBLISHED ON JUNE 5, 2000 IN THE BEND BULLETIN IN BEND, OREGON.  WE MOVED TO MISSOULA, MONTANA FROM BEND, OREGON IN JUNE OF 2000 SO THAT I COULD ATTEND PRE-LAW AND EVENTUALLY LAW SCHOOL HERE AT THE U OF M TO BECOME A LAWYER FOR DISADVANTAGED MEN & WOMEN WHETHER IT IS DUE TO SPOUSAL ABUSE, CHILD ABUSE OR A DISABILITY.  THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH LAWYERS OUT THERE FOR THESE SPECIFIC LEGAL AREAS.  I HOPE THAT WHAT I DO IN THE NEXT 12 YRS WILL BENEFIT ME AS WELL AS THOSE WHO CAN'T FIGHT FOR THEMSELVES IN THE END.

TRAVEL CAN THWART HOPES FOR HIGER EDUCATION

Acceptance to colleges is a great thing.  One thing, however, stands alone for many of those like myself who attend college, especially when the college is in another state.  Financial difficulty traveling from home to school and back.
There has to be something out there to help students get from Point A to Point B.  If you think about it, students get their loans for school expenses, but where are the loans or grants for the moving expenses that a lot of us can't seem to get?
I have, for the last three weeks, been on the Internet seeking funding/grants, general purpose of course.  Not one foundation or grant giver has come forward or answered one single e-mail of mine, which was not a turn down, that is.
There has to be some type of financial aid out there for students who can't get help from family or friends with moving expenses.
It is fine and dandy if you live within that state, but to live outside of the state in which your college is is another story.  Nobody seems to want to help those who are dead serious about their future or thier own families.
I am to start college classes this fall, but that is not likely to happen unless someone out there is willing to lend a helping hand.  Not all of the college students young or old, like me, are dishonest about it.
There are some who have a greater purpose for going to college.  There are some who would like to eventually make a difference in this world with college training and studies.
Come on people, whatever happend to helping your fellow man?
