| Match Comment: Standish were in control in the first half of a tight game and always looked the most likely to score which they did in the 38th minute with a well taken goal from Callum Sutch 1 - 0 half time Standish. | |||||
| The second half started a little more hesitantly with Standish making an adjustment to the tactics which appeared to unsettle them because DouglasValley came back into the game with an early goal from way outside the box which the goal keeper had no chance of saving (one of those dipping screamers). Standish then reverted back to the first half tactics but never seamed to capture the first half control which was made worse when Douglas Valley scored another good goal from outside the box with the Standish goal keeper only getting a part right hand to the ball pushing in further into the top left hand corner of the goals. 1 - 2 Douglas Valley. Standish after this point always seamed to be chasing the game and their passing was none existent because of this. Heads went down when what appeared to be an average shot by Douglas Valley well covered by the Standish keeper on the ground squirmed under the keepers body (a bit of a howler) - unlucky Ben.
