U 16'sh . 14th Apr. Hindley 4, Hindsford Bandits 3
On a poor pitch the early exchanges were fairy even.
The Bandits took the lead after 11 mins when a good lay off by Dale Glover set up Ryan Jones to score from the edge of the penalty area.
Hindley struck back immediately from a corner when Hindsford left a player unmarked for an easy header to make it 1-1.
This gave Hindley a boost and 3 mins later they made it 2-1 after a good move down the left wing.
Although a little rattled after conceding 2 quick goals the Bandits settled down and had the better of the rest of the 1st half.
Shots from Ryan Jones, Dale Glover and Kris Smith all came close to giving the Bandits an equaliser but the score remained 2-1 to Hindley at half-time.

In the 2nd half Hindley increased their lead to 4-2 before a late goal from Matt Langin made for a close finish, but Hindsford could not conjure up an equaliser.

U 16's Sat. 18th Apr.
Hindsford Bandits 6, Blackbrook 3
A terrific performance from Hindsford, after the previous disappointing result against Hindley.
With no substitutes available this looked a tough game against Blackbrook, but most of the early chances came the Bandits way.
A good cross by Daniel Banks enabled Dale Glover to give Hindsford the lead after 7 mins.
Unfortunately, as in the previous game, the Bandits switched off and allowed Blackbrook to equalise a minute later.
A good save by Lance Heath in the Bandits goal kept the scores level after 16 mins. But 2 mins later Dale Glover made it 2-1 to Hindsford after good work by Steve Eccles and Jonathan Banks.
The Bandits now went down to 10 men for 15 mins as Matt Durkin suffered a nose bleed, but this did not stop them playing some great football.
After 24 mins a pass from Matt Langin allowed Jonathan Banks to make it 3-1 to Hindsford with a great shot from the edge of the penalty area.
The Blackbrook keeper then made a good save from Dale Glover after a good passing move from Steve Eccles and Matt Langin.
There was not much the keeper could do after 33 mins when Matt Langin made it 4-1 after a clever flick from Dale Glover.
With 11 men back on the pitch the Bandits continued to threaten the Blackbrook goal but there were no more goals before half-time.
Half-timeHindsford Bandits 4, Blackbrook 1
Dale Glover shot just wide after 43 mins but Blackbrook where not going to give in easily and they pulled a goal back after 52 mins.
Things got worse for Hindsford when, first Ryan Jones went off injured, then 2 mins later Adam Farnworth also went off injured.
This meant that the Bandits would play the last 25 mins with only 9 men!
If Blackbrook thought the Bandits would give in they got a surprise.
After 59 mins Dale Glover completed his hat-trick after picking up a through ball and finishing well to make it 5-2 to Hindsford.
Then after 67 mins the same player made it 6-2 with a stunning header after a good cross from Jonathan Banks.
The 9 players of Hindsford continued to play their hearts out and Matt McDonald shot just wide, then Dale Glover hit the post before Blackbrook
pulled a goal back with 8 mins to go.
Even in the last minute Adam Murphy came close to scoring again for Hindsford but the Blackbrook keeper made another good save.
A superb performance from the Bandits, playing most of the  2nd half with only 9 men.
Every player gave their best and they played some good football.
Well refereed by Dave Renshaw.
