Douglas Valley v Wakefield Villa
Suplementary Cup
Match Reports - Quarter Finals
A blustery sunny day at Laithwaite pitch saw the U16's team Douglas Valley take on Wakefield Villa in the Suplementary Cup. With the absence of a referee Douglas Valley supplied a club official to take on the role.

The wind played an early role assisted by excellant kicking from the Valley Keeper, Worswick push Villa from the start. An early goal for Valley set the game up and forced Villa into waking up.  Valley worked hard and tackled and challenged for everything and where unlucky not to score a second. Having said this villa had four good chances and a dismissed penalty appeal in the first ten minutes.

The Valley defence of melling, Fishwick. Hill and Hall where outstanding in their defence of the goal.

Villa worked well and drew level only to score again before the break.

Douglas Valley where stretched once Villa had fired up .

Good fluency and attacking forward play was pleasurable to watch.

An excellent game and well played by Douglas Valley
