Who Knew

Sometimes life has a funny way
Making sure your debts you pay
For everything wrong you have ever done
To anyone, anything under the sun

Please don't misunderstand what I say
I love my husband and children more each day
But one statement that we all have agreed
There is no time left for the things I need

When the hubby is down with the flu
Sneezing, coughing and down right blue
Who is the one to come to the rescue
Yep, dear ole wifey, that's who

Oh my goodness, don't even get me started
Holding the flashlight for my dear hearted
I could ring his neck
When he say's "Hold it steady on this speck"

I am not sure what I have done wrong
And I know I am singing a familiar song
About a mothers daily routine
Housework, cooking, you know the whole scene

I am waiting for the day every woman dreams about
Getting a shoulder rub without a pout
Coming home from work to dinner on the table
It doesn't count if it has a pizza label

I feel like my debts have been paid in full
Years now I have put up with this bull
Just some things I thought you should know
It stopped being about me so long ago.
