Ok, well for the past few weeks it has been "Spring Break" for most of the US and our busiest section of this season at Universal. So I had to work my good 40 hours and now that I am back to offical casual status there, I now work on average 35 hours per week, which is becoming more and more due to the fact people call out, I take extra hours and am willing to work overtime. Today I got my first opportunity to work in a "store". It wasn't really a store, it was a cart, but it operates like a store. I had no major problems except for the fact that the server went down so for about an hour we couldn't accept credit cards. For most guests this wasn't a problem, but you know things do happen. I am actually thinking of transfering over to stores full time and maybe durring the busy season work for games. I mean don't get me wrong, I LOVE games with all my heart and soul, it's just I'm getting tired of the same old routine. I'm sick of getting stuck at Habob for 4 hours straight. If I had it my way, we would do rotations(with the exceptions of leads due to the location of money/aprons etc.). You start on either Habob, two side or three side(number of games on the side) and every hour or so, rotate to the next game area. This way, you don't over kill yourself with the same games over and over for about 4 hours at a time. But I'm not a lead so I can't control that. At least in stores, you get a fan, breaks, and a change of pace every now and then. Granted yes it can be slow or busy as heck, but that's life. I'd rather be stuck behind a register than guessing people's ages, weight or birth month. Well, got to go..need to get off my bro's computer. And to Xavier, thanks for visiting my web page. If you have AOL/AIM...put me on it(LDSDragon5)...I'm not sure when I will get MSN back but I know you are on there and I think we did talk briefly once. Anywho..Later Days! ~James |
