My name is Lisa Heathco and I am the owner of Lava Dragon Web Design.  In the winter of 1997 I moved to Round Rock, Texas from San Antonio and that is about when my interest in the internet first happened.  I'm not sure exactly when I started creating websites since my first ones were only simple, non-professional ones.  Over the years I read books and found references on the internet to teach myself HTML and Flash.  Eventually web designing became my career.  The president of Austin Traffic Signal in Round Rock, Fred Shin, was the first person to hire me professionally to create his website in 2001.  Since then I have moved to Austin, Texas and have created many more websites, including Lava Dragon, of course.
