The Panthers are playing in the u-11 Division of the Buffalo and Western New York Junior Soccer League this summer.
The summer schedule is now available.
I am tentatively planning on practicing on Wedsday nights and possibly some Saturdays. Please let me know if you will have definite long term conflicts with those days.
I am thinking about entering the Cheektowaga Soccer tournament, which is scheduled for June 12 and 13th. This tournament would cost $275 for the team to enter, and is going to be held at the West Seneca Soccer complex.
Important dates to keep in mind:
- July 17/18, 2004 Gates Tournament
- July 31/Aug 1 Lanc-Depew Tournament
- August 15 Club Picnic @ Keysa Park
I will keep up the following reminders at the end of this page.
- All games start promptly at 6:30 so be at the field by six in order to warm up and have the referee check passes.
- Each member of a team must have a player pass. The coach will retain these passes and present them to the referee at the beginning of each game.
- Shin guards are required and all spikes must be plastic.
- No jewelry is allowed, with the exception of medical ID jewelry.
- Only two coaches are allowed to be in the player bench area during the game.
- Players, coaches, and spectators must treat the referees with respect. "Attacking" a referee either verbally or physically can result in disciplinary actions including disqualifications, suspensions, and fines.
- Players, parents, and fans will not argue or question the referee. Any questions or comments should be directed toward the coach, and the coach will bring those concerns or questions to the referee when appropriate.
- All plyers must be wearing the proper uniform, including numbered shirts, shorts, and socks the same except for the goalie. Extra clothing worn under the uniform is at the discretion of the referee. The home team is responsible to make sure the teams are wearing a different color. Players should make sure to bring both their black jersey and white T-shirt to all home games in case there is a conflict.
- Each game will consist of two 35 minute halves.
- Games may be rescheduled due to weather or other factors. If the second half kick-off is made it is a regulation game and will not be rescheduled.
- All games will be played with a #4 ball
- All players are expected to play at least half of the game.
- Yellow cards - Any player who accumulates 4 yellow cards is suspended for one game immediately following the issuance of the fourth card. A player who accumulates eight yellow cards is suspended for two games immediately following the issuance of the eighth card. In addition, players who accumulate eight or more cards during the season will be reviewed by the Disciplinary Committee of the league for additional action, as it deems necessary.
- Red cards - issuance of Red cards will result in the following suspensions: first ejection - one game, second ejection - four games, third ejection - one full year.
