On Friday, October 27, 2000, Logan with Dad, Lonnie, and Mom, J.J.,
left for Provo, Utah. It was Logan's wish to be able to go see
a BYU football game. With the combined success of the Louisiana
and Utah "Make a Wish Foundation", this became a reality for Logan.
After arriving in Provo, Logan and his parents met the BYU-team and
ate dinner with them. On Saturday, October 28th, they ate breakfast
with the team and Head Coach Edwards.
Stephanie Adams of BYU took them on a tour of the campus.
It was BYU's homecoming game against San Diego. Logan visited the
locker room before and after the game. He enjoyed going onto the field
and visiting with players and cheerleaders.
Logan was presented a gift in the President's Sky Box by
Merrill J. Bateman.
Logan, Lonnie and J.J. enjoyed the game from a reserved Sky Box
on the 50-yard line. After the game, they had dinner with Coach Pella at the hotel.
Then they were off to Salt Lake City after an enjoyable day
at BYU. They stayed at the Inn in Temple Square. Sunday morning,
Kim Winnfield of the Utah "Make a Wish Foundation" took them on a
tour.
A special prayer was said for Logan by the Tabernacle Choir.
Logan was able to meet his Aunt Peggy and Uncle Glenn for the
first time.
On Monday, October 30th, they watched a movie at the Joseph Smith
Memorial Building. Following an interview, they left for home.
We lost Logan five days later on November 4, 2000.
