Cliffs of Moher in County Clare         Friday, 4/23/04
After dropping Julia and Kevin off at the bus station Thursday evening in Galway city Debbie and I stayed in Clarecastle in County Clare so we could get an early start for the Cliffs of Moher the next morning. Julia and Kevin went back to Cork for a few days. Then we picked them up
Sunday morning and we all went to the Dingle Peninsula and Adare.

The Cliffs are 700 foot high limestone cliffs extending  several miles  along the West coastline of County Clare. Many thousands of seabirds make their homes here and their cries are a constant in the background as you walk along the path to Hags Head from the parking lot and visitor center.

There are no fences or other obstruction to prevent you from plummeting over the edge of the cliff as you make your way along the path.  They definitely aren't insurance, lawsuit or safety conscious in Ireland to the degree we are in the States.
