Remains of Pvt. Drake Arrive In Charleston

        The casketed remains of Pvt. William Drake arrived in Charleston this (Tuesday) morning at 1:16 o'clock, acompanied by a military escort. Friends wishing to pay their respects may call at the Clark Funeral Home, 1117 Jakson Street.
        Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the First Christian church. Reverend Paul E. Hubele, church pastor, will officiate. The burial will be made in Mound cemetery.
        The young soldier was born in charleston on July 7, 1924, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Drake. He attended the schools here and was raduated from the Charleston High school in 1942. He entered the service at Scott Field in 1943. He was killed in the historic seige of Bastogne, while fighting with the 193rd Glider Infantry.
        Besides his parents, he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Martha Vanlanot of Michigan, Mrs Loren Lee and Mary Drake, of charleston; two brotheres, Gerald and Roy Drake of this city.
