FRANKLIN WOMAN, MRS. LUCY WITT, DIES HERE AT 68 (Franklin Favorite 11/2/67) Mrs. Lucy Witt, age 68, of Franklin, died Sunday at the local hospital after a long illness. Funeral Services were Monday afternoon at the Booker Funeral Home on West Cedar Street. Rev. Hobart Cook officiated. Burial was at Mount Vernon Cemetery.A native of Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Jerome Sloan and Sally Roberts Sloan. Survivors include her husband, Jim Witt; one daughter, Miss Opal Witt of New York; two sons, Earl Witt of Franklin, and Joe Witt of Nashville; three stepsons, Roddie Witt of Bowling Green, Paul Witt of Franklin, and Rufus Witt of Allen County; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Bridges of Sullivan, Illinois, one brother, Roy Sloan of Summit, and five grandchildren.
