JIM WITT SERVICES HELD YESTERDAY; dies monday at 94 (Franklin Favorite 2/13/69)
Funeral services for Jim Witt, 94, Franklin, were held yesterday at Booker Funeral Home on West Cedar Street. Burial was at the Mount Vernon Cemetery. Witt died Monday at the Franklin Simpson Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Bruce Witt and Caroline Franklin Witt.
Survivors include four sons, Paul and Earl Witt, both of Franklin, Roddie Witt, Bowling Green and Joe Witt, Nashville; two brothers, Cecil Witt, Monroe County, Ky, and Lon Witt, Barren County; two sisters, Mrs. Nattie Greenup, Louisville and Mrs. Jennie Steenburger, Barren County; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
