JAMES D. LANE (Sullivan Progress)
James Delbert Lane, 78, of Sullivan, died at 11:19 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 1986 in St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Holland, Kentucky. Born April 7, 1908 in Allen County, Kentucky, he was a son of James A. and Georgeann Hargett Lane. He was a retired maintenance engineer for Schudel's Model Paris in Decatur and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Holland. He married Lois Linville September 19, 1926, and she survives.
Other survivors include sons, Roger D. of Lakeland, Fla., Willie J. of Lovington, Aubrey of Mt. Zion and Jay H. of Sullivan; daughters, Carolyn Walker of Sullivan; sisters, Lillian F. Lane of Scottsville, Kentucky and Lydia D. Gillock of Hermitage, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
