HERSHEL E. SLOAN --
Funeral services for Hershel E. Sloan, 75, Franklin, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Conner Funeral Home. The retired farmer died Sunday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lois Jackson, in Bowling Green.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Della Turner Sloan, Franklin; five daughters, Mrs. Jackson; Mrs. Rethel Holland, City; Mrs. Raymond Saylors, Franklin; Mrs. Ann Towe, Adolphus, and Mrs. Artie Lemaire, Scottsville; three sons, Carl Sloan and Hershel Sloan, Jr., Greenwood, Indiana, and Bill Sloan, Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Witt, Franklin, and Mrs. Hubert Bridges of Sullivan, Ill.; a brother, Roy Sloan, Horse Cave; 25 grandchildren.
The body was moved to the home on Route 5, Franklin, on Monday afternoon and returned to the funeral home for services Wednesday. Burial was in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
