Helen L. Dallas McGahan


CHARLESTON----Helen L. McGahan, 90, of Charleston, died at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday (June 1, 1999) at Hilltop Convalescent Center.
        The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Harper-Swickard Chapel with the Rev. Max Thomason officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service time at the furneral home.
        She was born Dec. 15, 1908 in Coles County, the daughter of Vernon and Orpha Rennels Dallas. She married Laurel McGahan in 1937; he died in 1986.
        She was preceded in death by one brother and one stepsister.
        Mrs. McGahan was retired from Brown Shoe Company after many years. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Charleston.
        Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

CHARLESTON-----The furneral for Helen McGahan was Friday at the Harper-Swickard Furneral Home with the Rev. Max Thomason officiating. Burial was in Mound Cemetery. The organist, Dona Hayes played selected hymns.
        The pallbearers were Max and Mark Cooper, Roy and Gerald Drake, Morris Rennels and Les Dallas. The honorary pallbearers were Loren Lee and Harold McMichaels.
        Mrs. McGahan, 90, of Charleston died June 1, 1999 at Hilltop Convalescent Center.
