Welcome to my Practice Page

I used to be a graphic designer way back when it was popular and there was a huge market hole in the field. Now that hole has been filled and I guess I am now competing with younger and more savy that are more knowledgable and up to date on the software of today.

I decided to start relearning on my own and/or getting hlep from other people to relearn it all. I am mostly cautiously optimistic about it. I am absolutely happy with all the progress and all the codes that I remember. Maybe I'll just showcase all the progress here in the meantime.

I want to learn PHP too, but I need to learn how to CSS correctly first. I know that this is something that I have to work on. There are so many different apps and tutorials out there and I am having trouble looking for a good one.

It has been a while since I last used HTML. The last version that I used was 4.0. That was a very long time ago...The standard now is HTML 5, and it even has logo now. I was unaware that the HTML versions even had a logo, I was probably oblivious to the logo when I was working on it, but this is partly the reason I am writing this.

This is my journey from the ground and back up. I will try to implement everything that I learn into this as I go. I want to showcase my progress and failures, thoughts and dreams in this. I do have a WordPress account and I suppose I will link it in my Blog, but I also want to be able to make my own after I learn how to make databases in PHP.

I am having some trouble looking for some of my designs and artwork that I have accumulated over the years which is why I don’t have a Portfolio or a resumé posted. Maybe when I can find them all I will make a new page dedicated to a portfolio with a resumé.

For now this is my progress and I am enjoying it.

I grew up around Coyote Canyon, NM not that far off from Gallup. I took classes at the University of New Mexico Gallup Branch in the Graphic Arts. Before that, I went to school in Tohatchi, NM for my Grade School Years.

My interests are in Computers, Video Games, Arts and Crafts, and just learning new things in general.

I have worked as a Graphic Designer in the Gallup Herald and the Alamogordo Daily News.

I use to be a Certified Pharmacy Tech and worked at both the Hospital as a Certified Pharmacy Tech and at Walgreens as a Senior Pharmacy Tech.

I like to use Abode and Macromedia Software and am proficent in both Macintosh and Windows environments.
