Children Of The Universe
This is my first book.
Presented here is the first rough draft of a work in progress. I would like to dedicate this science fiction/fact novel to my wonderful, patient wife Chris, who has been very supportive of my attempt to discover what I want to be when I grow up [Who knows, maybe I'll be a famous author]. My aspirations are simple. I'm trying to write a runaway best seller. If this should happen, or if my book gets published at all, much of the credit will go to my sweet daughter and muse Bonnie, who is a professional writer, and is helping me organize and edit this book, as well as hounding me to make sure I keep the suspense level high enough. As I continue with this project, I would appreciate constructive criticism from anyone adventurous enough to read these beginning efforts. On the off chance that anyone other than myself gets hooked, and wants to know what happens next, I will be posting the chapters to this site as I write them.
One of the main reasons I am writing this book is to leave something of my thoughts and beliefs to my children, in story form. When they were little I used to make up bedtime tales for them. They seemed to prefer mine to those in children's books. Maybe this was because mine could go on forever with new episodes each night, as well as alternate endings when they didn't like the first one. Well, my children are grown, and I have grandchildren who have never heard my old stories, so this book is for all of them. Maybe there will be sequels to keep this story going on forever as well. One of the main characters in this book is named after my sweet little granddaughter Alia. I didn't mean to slight anyone, but Alia was the only family name exotic enough for this otherworldly plot.
