Here I am posing with my first road bike, a 1989 Bridgestone RB-1. This is one of the classic road bikes. Very resiliant double butted (later on, quadruple butted) lugged Ishiwata chromoly frame coupled with a very sensible mix of parts - all for a reasonable price. I bought mine used equipped with mostly late 80s/early 90s Shimano Dura Ace/Ultegra/105 componenets for $375. It rode beautifully - as well as any bike I've ridden since. I did sell it later on in order to purchase other bikes with a little remorse to see it go.
