Collaborated with graduate students on thesis research; advised and assisted university researchers; consulted researchers at other institutions; assisted with the planning and design of research projects; gathered data on grassland birds, small mammals, and ring-necked pheasants.

Upland Wildlife Specialist

Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources, Gibson City, IL

Coordinated population surveys of upland wildlife including bobwhite, pheasant, cottontail, swamp rabbit, mourning dove, and crow. Provided upland wildlife management consultation to district biologists and to NGO staff and volunteers; coordinated management workshops for the public; advised the State Pheasant Fund Committee; conducted upland wildlife surveys; maintained project budget and property inventory; evaluated land parcels for possible acquisition; supervised clerical worker; maintained communication with district biologists and other survey observers; gave presentations on upland wildlife; collaborated with university researchers on upland wildlife studies; analyzed data and prepared state and federal reports.
