2010 Titans

   5/01/10 - Harlan -

We welcomed to town today the Cyclones from Harlan.  A conference match and an opportunity to take the lead in the conference standings.  Over all when you look back on the game we did improve, we did play better, we managed to move the ball around, just not good enough when it was all said and done.  Our only shinning moment today was when the Cyclones were call for a handball inside the six and we were awarded a PK.  Miguel Ramos stepped up and put it away to make it 1-4.  It was encouraging to see that we were putting some passes together and doing it with a good mixture of talking.  On the flip side however we were also still our worst enemy.  All it takes is a bad pass or a pass behind the runner instead of in front of him an the ball is going the other way.  We will continue to work on this and we will continue to improve.  It was not a case of effort today as we did play hard, right up to the end.  We must remember we are young and as long as we see improvement we know there is light at the end of the tunnel and this team will come together.  Monday we will play our final home game of the season against home town rival St Alberts.  Please join us and cheer on the team.

JV followed the Varsity match today and only played one half.  We lost today 0-3 but we continue to learn and we always play hard.
