Coach's Comments
2010 Titans

   4/15/10 - Sioux City North -

The only comments tonight is it is a good thing we have a week before our next game.  Right now we are the walking wounded, physically and mentally.  We welcome Sioux City North to town hoping to upright the ship and get us to 500 for the season.  Our biggest issue right now as a team is our physical condition and looking for someone that is not feeling pain somewhere.  After the Glenwood game on Monday we had 8 Varsity players in the trainers office using either ice or heat trying to heal.  It is a good thing we have some time to recover and see if we can heal.  Our next game is at home against Creston, it is Varsity only on April 27, this is 12 days away and hopefully time we can use to recover.  The 7-0 loss did nothing for us mentally so our job at this time is to bring these kids back together and focus on the future and work toward improving and staying positive.  The season is young and is not over.  Please stay with us and join us on April 27 against Creston at home at 5:00pm.  The 27th is Varsity only and is a boy girl match.  We will play first at 5:00pm.

JV had a rough one as well and showed possibly that we just can not play two games in the same week.  JV's lone goal came in the second half when we set up for a corner kick.  DJ Doebelin sets up the corner kick, calls the play, drops his hand to start the play, sends the ball on goal and it hooks in toward the goal.  The keeper catches the ball but, oops, he catches the ball while standing inside the goal, DJ is awarded a goal off of a corner kick and we manage to score one.  JV is now off until Saturday 5/1 when we play Harlan at home.  We will continue to focus on the small things, communication, and build on our youth.
