The March S.A.C. meeting was a School Board candidate forum. Principal Harold Hawkins thanked the members of S.A.C., the League of Women Voters and the Kansas City Federation of Teachers for joining together to put the Forum together.
Mr. Hawkins reported that the Kansas City Council would present LCPA with an historic site proclamation. A big thank you to Pat Gallagher from the Mayors office for helping LCPA achieve this proclamation.
LCPA is, for the third year in a row, on the top ten list in the state of Missouri for MAP test scores.
Renovation projects are nearly complete on both campuses. New doors and windows are scheduled for installation later this spring.
S.A.C. co-chairs Kay Postma and Chris Bomah-Swaray presented Mr. Hawkins and Ms. Scholes with appreciation flowers for a job well done.
The candidates present for the Forum were:
| David Smith | At-Large Candidate | |
| Ingrid Burnett | At-Large Candidate | |
| Michael Byrd | At-Large Candidate | |
