| Friday, December 1 I can't believe it's December already. This semester has gone by so quickly. It seems like only yesterday I was standing in line waiting to get my room key; wondering what floor I would be on, looking at all the other girls in line and wondering if one of them was my roommate. I definitely have been blessed with an awesome roommate and suitemate. Some pictures of us from graduation are sitting in front of me. Gosh...it seems so long ago, and I know it sounds ridiculous, but we look so young. I feel like college has added 5 years to my looks. hehe Maybe it's from the lack of sleep or the interesting eating habits. Does anyone else feel like they're just playing pretend? I'm not supposed to be in college! I'm not supposed to be living on my own, making my Sunday calls and thinking about what I'm going to do with the rest of my life. It's all so surreal. When did we get so old?? I want to go back to that first summer when we could drive; when everything was so exciting because we were doing it on our own. No, maybe that's even too old...I want to go back to before I knew what the world was like...when I was ignorant of what kids my age were doing. This is just some kind of strange dream. I'm really just in high school...dreaming about college...ha! I wish! I think I'm going to start a quotes page. I've encountered way too many good ones this semester to just let them die in my brain. | technically Saturday, December 2 yea! Tonight was fun! My hall had a scavenger hunt...it was fun. We ran around g-town doing the stupidest things. The highlight of the "program" was when we went to a little grocery store in g-town. We were looking for a guy with a tatoo on his arm to take a picture with us. One girl just asked some random stocker guy if he did. He said no but the guy on aisle 10 does. So we went to aisle ten where this guy was stocking beer or something. We asked him if he had any tatoos and he's all "yeah....." and so we explained our mission. He was wearing a long sleeve shirt with an undershirt too....he started unbuttoning the top shirt (right there in the middle of the aisle) while saying "if my manager catches me...i'm gonna be in big trouble." Yeah....so he just takes off both shirts....hehe. He was pretty darn hot. But! we were on a mission and could not be distracted from his pleasant looks! ;0) I'm pretty sure we won the hunt...we got pretty creative baby! Anyway, we came back and everyone was all hyper from runnin around and acting like complete idiots. So we sat out in the hall forever just rambling on about nothing. Then someone had the idea of ice cream sundaes. We all packed into a suburban and went the the greatest place on earth....HEB. Oh yeah! HEB is the funnest place I've ever been to. We got ice cream and cookies and donuts and cupcakes...it was great. Then we all packed in our SA's room and watch "White Christmas" (the best Christmas movie ever made!). No one sings like Bing Crosby anymore. It's sad. We have a golf prospective staying with us tonight, and she went to sleep after the movie. Audra and I were still wide awake so we sat in the hall for a while just talking. Then we took a fieldtrip up to the 2nd and 3rd floors of BC and looked at all the door decorations. Talk about bored! Now everyone is asleep except me. It's only 3:10 am....I don't know what they're problem is.... ;0) |

| Monday, December 4 This week is awful! But thankfully I have disiplined myself and made a schedule. I have every hour of my day mapped out until Friday. It's gonna be fun...let me tell ya. Who knew college would be this hard... I'm excited. We're having a Christmas party at work tomorrow. That means I get some homecooked food. Woohoo! I'm supposed to be sleeping right now (so says my cool schedule) but I laid down and that just wasn't happening. I guess I'll give ya'll an update on my finals situation as the week progresses. hopefully I can go to sleep now..... |
| Saturday, December 8 Ok, so this will probably be my last bit of free time before finals are over. This week was horrible; I studied non-stop every night. Now that all of those assignments are turned in and tests have been taken, I get to work on a final paper and studying for 3 final exams! Stop the insanity!! At least last night I gave myself somewhat of a break. I went home after my last class, watched Snow Day (mind numbing movie, good stuff), ate lasanga with my mom, and went to church. Of course when I came back to school I had about 40 lines of Latin to translate before midnight, but I got it done so that's all that matters. Audra and I went to IHOP at about 1 or so. The other night around 2 she just busted out with, "I want some pancakes!" But I was too busy studying to go....so we went last night. mmmmm I wish I had some amusing story to tell you guys, but I really have not been out of my room this week.
