A little bit about Linda C. Meuth

For the past 29 years I have been married and raising a family in rural Lee County, Texas. My husband, Bobby, and I have four children. Our family has been and continues to be active in many agricultural endeavors from custom farm work and farm machinery repair to raising beef cattle and stockers.

I have had a lifelong love of agriculture.  Both my parents were raised on farms. I grew up spending my school days in Corpus Christi, Texas with the majority of our weekends and holidays on the farm. My father and his brother had a stock farm outside of Smithville, Texas in Bastrop County.

Even though we are all girls except for my younger brother, my siblings, cousins and I enjoyed the usual farm activities of harvesting including filling the hay barn, picking corn by hand, and working cattle.  We also enjoyed the added benefits of country living, such as, outhouses, coon hunting, horse backing riding, outdoor showers under the water tower, fishing and swimming in the creek. That was the life!

With all our children gone from home...at the moment, I had returned to finish where I left off 29 or so years ago. The last two years here at Texas A&M have been very interesting to say the least. But atlas, I have reached the end of my journey. Graduation day is just around the corner. My daughter, Stefanie, and I will celebrate together on Saturday, May 9, as we will both be picking up our diploma's.
