So much sympathy from my darling husband, lol

Gee who's
pregnant here???

January 2000...

What can I tell you pregnancy has it's ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade this experience for anything! Soon I will post some pictures of me so you can see the growth but until then I can tell you that it's strange to have lost my slender body.

At 27 weeks, I measured myself with a roll of toilet paper and it takes 9.5 squares to get around this growing belly of mine. Although I am feeling HUGE these days I can say that the doctor has nothing but good things to say. YIPPIE!  I have gained a total of 26 lbs but except those who know me pretty well it's really hard to tell.

I was at Babies R Us recently and there was a girl due the day before me and her belly was much bigger than mine.  Made me sort of feel slender for that moment.

I spend a few minutes everyday chatting with the girls on BabyCenter.com.   There are bulletin boards for the month I am due and for being pregnant for the first time.  It's been really great to have a group of women I can chat with that are going through the sames things as me.

Well that's it for now.  I hope to get those photos up soon.  Have a great day!

March 2000...

At 36 1/2 weeks the baby remains in a breech position.  The doctor has conveyed that he believes this baby will be need to be delivered by cesarean.  Apparently there is not much amniotic fluid to get him to move around.  I have never had a surgery before so this is a little scarey for me.  On the other hand the doctor said that we will set a date for the end of March.  This means I will be prepared to know what date the baby is actually coming.  I guess that's a good thing.  So as long as I don't go into labor ahead of that then the date that is scheduled is March 30, 2000.  They do this procedure first thing in the morning so I will check in at 6 am for the delivery that will occur at 7:30 am.  The procedure takes approx. 45 minutes from start to finish.  I will get to stay in the hospital for 3 full nights.  This may be a blessing since I  am a first time mommy.  I can get a little rest while the nurses do most of the work.
