Small Group Guidelines
We agree to the following values:

Clear Purpose
To grow healthy spiritual lives by building a healthy small group community.

Group Attendance
To give priority to the group meeting (calls if will be late or absent)

Safe Environment
To help create a safe place where people can be heard and feel love.  (1) We are here to support one another.  We will not attempt to "fix" another. (2) We will keep our sharing focused on our own thoughts and feelings.  We will not violate the trust of our spouse or our children.  (3) There will be no cross talk.  Cross talk is when two individuals engage in a dialogue, excluding all others.  Each person wil be free to express feelings without interruption. (4) We may "pass" on any questions we don't want to answer.

Confidentiality
To kep anything that is shared strictly condifential.  Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirments.  What is shared in teh goup stays in the group.

Spiritual Health
To give group memebers permission to help me live a healthy spiritual life that is pleasing to God.

Inviting People
To keep an open chair in our groups and share Jesus' dream of finding a shepherd for every sheep by inviting newcomers.

Shared Ownership
To remember that every memeber is a minister and encourage each attendee to share a small group role or serve on one of the group teams.

Rotating Leaders
To encourage someone new to facilitate the group each week.

Spiritual Partners
To pair up with one other group memeber whom I will support more diligently and help grow spiritually.
We agreed to the following:

We meet once a month.
The group leader is scheduled once a year on a rotating basis.  The assigned leader acts as host/hostess.
The assigned leader/host/hostess is responsible for notifying the group of the food requirements and the meeting time.
