Family Discussion Questions:
Key:  Prayer leads us to God.

5-7 Years - Who do you like to talk to?  God likes to talk to you.  When we pray, we talk with God.  That's what prayer is: prayer is talking to God.

9-12 Years - What do you say when you pray?  Do you  know you can tell God anything?  What do you like to tell your friends about?  Can you tell God the same things you tell your friends?  Can you tell God things you wouldn't tell anyone else?  You can tell God anything, anytime, and He will always listen to you.  You don't need to use special words - just talk to Him!

13+ Years - When and where do you pray?  What do you say when you pray?  Do you think God is listening when you pray?  Why or why not?  What do you think God wants to hear when you pray?  Why do you think that?  Is there anything God does not want to hear? What? Why do you think that?  Does God hear you when you're not praying?  Is there anything you can't tell God?  Is there anything God doesn't know about?

Parents - Read Matthew 6:5-6
As a family, commit to praying together once a day. (If you can do this in the morning before everyone leaves for work or school, it will be a great start to the day!)

If you want to, let a different person lead the prayer, or an adult can lead it.  Start by asking each person to say something they'd like to pray about or thank God for.  Ask God's blessings on your family!
