Family Discussion Questions:
Key:  God accepts us and loves us unconditionally.

5-7 Years - What makes you happy? Are there people who make you happy?  When you are hungry, does food make you happy?  When you are cold, do warm clothes make you happy?  When someone plays with you, does that make you happy?  God gives us good things.  He gives us food and clothes and people to love us.  He gives us everything!

9-12 Years - What is a blessing?  Can a blessing be something you can't see or touch?  Can other people be a blessing?  If you are good at doing something - drawing, running, math, sports - are thing like that blessings?  All our blessings come from God.  He wants to bless us!

13+ Years - What is a blessing?  What do you have that did not come from you?  Can difficulty be a blessing, like a problem or a difficuly person?  How?  What do you take for granted or even complain aout that is really a blessing?

Parents - Read 1 Peter 1:3-4
What does it mean to be blessed?  Is there anything in your life that only you - an no one else, ever - are responsible for bringing to you? (think carefully about this)  What can you learn from your answer?  Who then is ultimately responsile for your blessings?  Share your thought about this with your family!
